On this day after Thanksgiving, I'm thinking of things I'm thankful for regarding my work here at Plain and Simple:
- The ability to work for my brothers and sisters in Christ and contribute in some small way to the building up of the the body here.
- My co-workers: our friendships, their gifts, our time together.
- An opportunity to connect with the Amish, an amazing group of people.
- A job that is close to my home and compatible with my family life.
- A host of interesting challenges and decisions to be made every day.
- An opportunity to put the things I'm learning in business school to good use.
- A deepening relationship with our finisher and his family.
- Our customers: Knowing them, connecting with them, entering into meaningful exchanges with them, seeing them satisfied as a result of our and our Amish partner's hard work.
- Being able to spend my day around beautiful furniture and beautiful wood.
- A beautiful, functional product that I can believe in and sell without reservation.
- Modest growth and a hopeful outlook in a time of serious economic challenges.
What are you Thankful for?
